JoAnne Fabrics and Craft Stores, the nation’s largest fabric and craft retailer with locations in 47 states, was founded in 1943 as a single retail store. Today, nearly 800 JoAnne stores across the country provide consumers with creative inspiration.

It’s stores include traditional sizes and superstores. Jo-Ann Stores has nearly 20,000 employees in more than its stores and multiple distribution centers. Jo-Ann Stores offer fashion and decorator fabrics, related notions, patterns and other materials for creative projects.

JoAnne Stores reported its quarter profit rose to $8 million on strong sales from large-format stores. The company posted earnings of 32 cents per share on revenue of $480.2 million, while analysts expected, on average, earnings of 28 cents per share on $478.4 million in revenue.

JoAnne Stores had been supplying nearly 700 fabric and craft stores from a centrally located distribution center (DC) in Hudson, Ohio, when expansion forced changes.

JoAnne currently offers a range of brands in its good-better-best home door fabrics assortment.
They have a couple of aisles of other things: a few hayracks, garden art, stepping stones, a few windchimes, shepherd’s hooks, and some little decorative items. Although traditionally fabric stores carried only fabrics and fabric accessories, now the inventory is mind-boggling. JoAnne Fabrics also offer coupons, but please note that they are subject to early expiration. JoAnne is bright, fast and extremely easy to work with.

There are fabrics that people feel like not good with, for example here is one review. JoAnne Fabrics of Kent is a very prejudice store. Every time I go to the store I feel like I am not welcomed. I have noticed that the workers in the store are not friendly towards people of Asian descent.
